Rachel Dougherty is a performance coach who brings a good dose of laughter and play to her work in coaching and training.  Her career spans 12 years and includes an extensive background in generalist HR including management and consulting.

Rachel is a good listener and believes that the art of truly listening to someone is the foundation of all good workplace interventions.  This ability combined with her strong strategic focus means she has an acute eye for seeing what needs to be done to help create the change that is desired.

Highly creative with a strong background in the performance arts including improvised theatre, Rachel brings this to her work in developing learning interventions that engage and enliven people. With a strong focus on her own personal development (or navel gazing) Rachel understands how transformation begins with transforming ourselves.  This has led to her development of several career management programmes.

Rachel’s experience illustrates her adaptability and broad skill base.  Her career started as a consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers.  Following this she had her own consulting business.  Highlights include, coordinating and facilitating team building for 40 engineers, researching ageing workplace issues and preparing a discussion paper for Christchurch International Airport,  being acting HR Manager for NZ Dairies Ltd and providing vocational guidance to personnel from factory staff to management.
